The WCS Difference
If education is spiritual in nature, as we believe, then it must have a moral fiber that is woven into all things educational. At Westminster Christian School, we believe in a Christian worldview and teach from that worldview. Our school verse is II Corinthians 10:5:
"We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ."
Our curriculum reflect this verse as well as Paul's charge in I Corinthians to "run the race to win." We believe in excellence and betterment and demand that from our faculty and staff as well as our students.
Strong Academics
Westminster Christian School students consistently score between the 70th and 90th percentile in annual Stanford Achievement Tests. Our school also recognizes the importance of a low student-to-teacher ratio in academic achievement, so class sizes range from 12 to 18 students.
Since Westminster is a nondenominational school with a diverse student body, younger grades focus on critical Scriptures central to the statement of faith with common interpretations among evangelical churches. High school Bible classes explore some denominational differences, applying critical thinking and discussion in order to gain insight and understanding.
